Welcome to Talk Club at The Hog, Horsley!
Talk Club is a relaxed and friendly talking and listening club open to all men (aged 18+).
Our Horsley club takes place every Tuesday from 7pm, is totally free to join, everything talked about is completely confidential and there’s no commitment to come every week. So what are you waiting for? Come check it out next Tuesday!
Talk Club is based on a super simple format, with just 4 easy questions:
- How are you today? Out of 10? Check in with a number then explain why.
- What are you happy about? What are you grateful for? What are the positives in your life?
- What are your plans to look after your mental fitness in the week ahead? Think diet, sleep, exercise and anything else that helps you take care of your mental fitness.
- How are you now? Out of 10? How are you feeling now you’ve had a chance to talk and listen?
That’s it! We told you it’s simple! But the amazing thing is, the average man’s score out of 10 will improve by 15% just by having a safe and judgment-free space to open up in!
You’ll find the other men attending to be a super friendly and mixed bunch, spanning all age groups (we have men aged 18-80+ in regular attendance), all walks of life, and with all types of issues (or not!) going on. But sitting in a safe space where you can be heard, without anyone judging you or attempting to “fix” things, whilst also gaining some perspective on other people’s “stuff” can be a really magical thing!
We start every week at 7pm prompt in our private upstairs space at the pub. Feel free to grab a drink from the bar first if you like, or head straight upstairs at 7pm and help yourself to a free tea of coffee, before settling into one of our comfy sofas for a friendly chat.
We promise that it only feels daunting until you walk through the door!
One of our three “Captains” will welcome you in and lead the session – Luke, Chris or John.
